Best Time To Visit

Bandhavgarh is a wild famous place that attracts tourists from across the world. One thing that you need to keep in mind is that it would be good to book your safari and stay in advance when coming to this park. This park remains open from mid-October to June end. The best time to visit Bandhavgarh totally depends on your preference, it can be either the summer season, March - June (for spotting tigers), or the winter season from October to February (for spotting a variety of birds). This scenic park remains closed during the monsoons from July to mid-October.

The park during Winter (October - February)

During winter, the park remains green after heavy rainfall and it looks amazing. The entire region glows with greenery and many migratory birds also visit the area. The temperature during the day remains around 20-25℃ which makes it pleasant to enjoy an afternoon safari. However, if you’re going for a morning safari then keep your jackets and other woolen stuff with you because the temperature can reach as low as 8℃. This season offers excellent chances of spotting the wild beast along with a large variety of resident and migratory birds. For many wildlife enthusiasts, this is the best time to visit Bandhavgarh National Park.

The park during Summer (March- June)

During summer, especially in the months of April and May, spotting the wild animals becomes easier when a heatwave starts. The vegetation of the area becomes dry and the temperature reaches around 35-40℃. Because of this, the heat forces animals to come near the water bodies to keep themselves hydrated. This is the best season for sightings of animals as many of them can be spotted easily. However, because of this much heat, it is important to be prepared for a safari ride. Carry a water bottle, wear comfortable clothes, and also use caps, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself from harmful rays. If you want a nice spotting experience then come prepared.

The park during Monsoon (July to mid-October)

During monsoon, the area experiences a good amount of rainfall. Waterlogging happens in many areas and also the routes for safari rides become slippery. Because of this, the park remains closed for tourism activities.
